When an organization you work for uses Assignr to pay officials via direct deposit, there are three things that need to happen so that you can get paid:

  1. The Assignr site you’re a part of needs to enable direct deposit (done by the site's owner or paying administrator).

  2. You’ll need to add your W9 to Assignr.

  3. You’ll need to add your bank account to Assignr.

Once these things are complete, you are ready to get paid through Assignr. 💰 You'll be able to complete steps 2 and 3 from the Financials section of your account. 👇

More details on each step can be found below.

1. The Assignr site you’re a part of needs to enable direct deposit.

This step is done by the site's owner and/or paying administrator (financial contact). The best way to know if the site you’re a part of has enabled direct deposit is by checking with your organization's assignor or paying administrator directly. They’ll be able to tell you if you can expect to be paid through Assignr, or through some other avenue (e.g. check, cash at the field, etc).

💡 Here’s how to know if a site does NOT have direct deposit enabled:

  1. If the site is based outside of the United States.

  2. If you do NOT see a Financials → My Payments Received menu on the left-hand side of your screen, when logged into that site on Assignr.com.

💡 There are certain scenarios where you may still see a Financials → My Payments Received menu in your site, even if direct deposit is not enabled, so it's always best to check directly with your site's assignor or paying administrator.

📖 If you're not sure how to contact your assignor, check out this article: How to Check the Status of a Payment.

Once you know that you will be paid via direct deposit through Assignr, you can move onto steps 2 and 3 below.

2. How to Add your W9.

To add your W9, you’ll want to follow these steps:

  1. Log into Assignr.com.

  2. Navigate to Financials → My W9 / 1099s.

  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to add the requested information.

  4. Select Save W9.

📖 More info on how to add your W9 here: How to Add a W9.

After you’ve added your W9, you’ll be able to add your bank account:

  1. Log into Assignr.com.

  2. Navigate to Financials → My Bank Account.

  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to add the requested information.

  4. Select Add Account.

Frequently Asked Questions — Direct Deposit for Officials

1. How often will I be paid?

The schedule on which you are paid is determined by the organization that pays you. Some pay weekly, others bi-weekly, once per month, or perhaps at the end of the season.

🚨 Assignr doesn't set the payment schedules, so you must contact your site's assignor or paying administrator if you have questions about this.

📖 If you're not sure how to contact your assignor, check out this article: How to Check the Status of a Payment.

2. How will I know when I have been paid?

Once a paying administrator has initiated a payment to you, you will receive an email notifying you that the payment is en route to your bank account. You will receive another email notification once the money has been deposited into your bank account. This process takes up to 5 business days to complete.

📖 If you're looking for more information on payment statuses or on direct deposit in general, check out this article: How to Check the Status of a Payment.

3. I work outside of the United States. Will I be paid via direct deposit through Assignr?

No. Unfortunately, Assignr's direct deposit feature is only available to customers located in the United States at this time.
