After your games occur — assuming you’ve already added your W9 and Bank Account — you can sit back, relax, and wait to be paid. Once you're paid, your payments will show up in the Financials → My Payments Received menu.

In this article, we'll walk through the following things:

  1. An overview of the full direct deposit process in Assignr.

  2. How to ask your assignors about payment schedules (i.e. how often you can expect to be paid).

  3. How to check the status of a payment.

An Overview of How You'll Get Paid through Assignr.

After all the steps to set up direct deposit have been completed, you should begin to receive payments sent to you via direct deposit. The full direct deposit process will look like this —

1. You'll work a game(s).

2. Your assignor will approve your games for payment.

This will create an Unpaid Statement showing how much money is owed to you.

Unpaid Statements can be viewed from the Financials → My Payments Received section of your account. More info on this below.

3. Your site’s paying administrator will then pay that Statement.

This will update the status of that Statement from Unpaid to Processing, from within the Financials → My Payments Received page.

4. You will receive an email, letting you know a payment is on the way.

The subject will read A Payment to You Has Been Initiated. The expected deposit date of that payment can be found in the body of the notification email.

The Assignr mobile app will also show you a notification when a payment is initiated.

5. The money from the Paid Statement will hit your bank account 1-5 business days after the payment was initiated.

You will receive another email on the date the money will hit your account. The subject will read You Got Paid! 💸.

The Assignr mobile app will also show you a notification when a payment has deposited into your bank account.

Please note, you may not see the funds show up in your account until late in the day.

The exact timeline for steps 1 and 2 are dependent upon each organization’s payments process. Organizations tend to pay officials weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or at the end of the season.

If you are wondering how frequently you can expect to be paid, you must reach out to your assignor or paying administrator directly to ask.

🚨 Payment schedules are not something that the Assignr Support team has visibility into.

If your assignor tells you to reach out to the Support team for information on payment schedules, we encourage you to ask your assignor for a financial contact or administrator associated with your organization instead, as they'll be the ones that can give you the information you need.

If you do reach out to the support team, we will reply back with instructions on how to find your assignor's contact information, for you to reach back out to them directly (which we also review below).

How to Ask your Assignors When You Can Expect to Get Paid.

If you’re not sure who your assignor is, you can send a message to an organization’s assignors from within your account. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Log into the site you are expecting payment from.

  2. From the upper right-hand corner of your account, select the envelope icon.

  3. Select + New Message.

  4. In the To field dropdown, select All Assignors.

  5. Ask your question about payments in the body of the message, then select Send Message.

How to Check the Status of a Payment.

Statements fall into one of six statuses —

Status

Description

Unpaid

This means the assignor has approved these games for payment, but the payment has not yet been initiated.

Pending

This means the paying administrator has initiated this statement’s payment, but it has not hit your bank account yet. The funds are en route. 💸

Completed

This means the payment has hit your bank account (and/or will hit your account later that day, if today is the expected deposit date, and you don’t see it in there just yet).

Failed

This means the payment was unsuccessfully sent to your bank account. This likely means you need to add a new bank account to your Assignr account, and your assignor will need to resend your payment to that new account afterward. Please reach out to [email protected] for more information about specific Failed payments you’re seeing in your account.

Paid

This means a $0 ‘payment’ has been completed. These reflect games where game fees aren’t owed for whatever reason (e.g. in the case of certain cancelled games), and no actual money is sent to your bank account.

To check the status of a statement or payment, simply follow these steps:

  1. Log into the site you are expecting payment from.

  2. Select Financials → My Payments Received.

  3. You can find the Status of the payment to the right of it.

  4. If the Status of a payment is Pending or Completed, you can select the Date of the payment to view that Statement’s Anticipated Deposit Date.

If you don’t see a specific game's fees listed in any of your statements, it likely means the game hasn’t been approved for payment yet. If you have any questions about why this is, or when you can expect to see certain games be approved, please reach out to your assignor directly to ask them (see instructions above).
