The first step in paying hourly staff is to define the job(s) to be done by your hourly staff. Depending on the activities of your organization, examples of a Job include:
- Field Setup
- Concession Stand Worker
- Marketing Intern
- League Commissioner
A Job does not include details about the individual who will be performing these duties. You will take care of that in the second step (Hiring Employees).
To create a new Job:
- Navigate to the Payor page for your organization. You can view all Payors from the Financials → View Payors page, or click the name of your organization on the Financials menu.
- Use the Hourly → Jobs menu option.
- Select Add a Job
- Provide a Name, Default Rate, and Expense Account.
- Click Create Job
If you don't see an Expense Account that is suitable for tracking expenses for this Job, contact Support and we can add one for you.
Once you have added your Jobs, the next step is to hire employees.
