Team, League and Person Conflicts can be used to ensure that only an appropriate official is assigned to a game. On the games screen, there will be a conflict code next to the official's name if a conflict exists between an official and a game.

Team Conflicts will prevent an official from being assigned to a game involving the specified team, or can be configured to block an official from working any games at the time a specific team is playing.

Person Conflicts will prevent an official from being assigned to any games where a specific person is also working as an official.

League Conflicts will prevent an official from working a game involving the specified league

Team, League and Person conflicts are part of an official's profile, but are not visible to the official. To view or change these conflicts:

  • Click the People menu

  • Click the official's name

  • Click the Conflicts link

Team Conflicts

There are two different ways to create a team conflict.

  • Choose the name of the team that the official has a conflict with

  • To block an official from working games involving a specific team, choose the Team option.

  • To block an official from working any games when a team is playing anywhere, choose the Time option.

  • Click Add New

The Team option is most commonly used when an official can't work games with a team, but is generally available to work other games when the team is playing. The Time option can be used for officials who play for a specific team and are unable to work any games at the time a team has a game. The Time option can also be used with officials who are parents and have a child who plays on a team, and are unavailable when their child is playing.
