What Happens after a Game is Cancelled.

Once you have canceled the game, notifications will go out to all assigned officials. A canceled game will continue to show up in an official's schedule, but will always be prefaced with the word *** CANCELLED *** and will be colored in red in the Games list within their account.

If you cancel a game, the officials will be notified with an email and will be asked to re-confirm the game. This ensures your officials understand that the game has been canceled.

If you want the game to be removed from an official's schedule, you can:

  1. Delete the game,

  2. Un-publish the game, OR

  3. Un-assign the officials from the game.

Officials will still be paid for the game if you select Canceled (with pay). To prevent an official from being paid for a canceled game, you can:

  1. Set the game's status to Canceled (no pay),

  2. Remove the official from the game, OR

  3. Set the override fee to zero, which you can learn more about here: How to Set Up Game Fees.

Frequently Asked Questions β€” Cancelled Games.

1. What happens to assignor fees if we cancel a game with no pay?

A game with the status Canceled (no pay) may still have assignor fees tied to it, depending on how the assignor fee rules are set up.

If the game has a flat assignor fee, then the assignor fee will remain as is.

If a game has a percentage-based assignor fee, then the assignor fee will calculate against the $0 game fees, thus making the assignor fee $0, as well.

If you need to make adjustments to these calculations, you can manually enter an override fee for the assignor fees by selecting Edit to the right of a game, then updating the assignor fees at the bottom of the screen.
